Offices and Infrastructure
A.J.R Steelfabrication’s office and workshop is situated between Vanderbijlpark and Potchefstroom, on Plot 213 Lindequesdrif
It consists of:
- Workshop 1: 400 square meters with a 10 ton overhead crane.
- Workshop 2: 550 square meters with a 5 ton overhead crane.
- Sandblasting Workshop: 200 square meters
- Painting Booth: 400 square meters
- Office building that includes administrative functions, a drawing office, management and engineering support functions.

Company History
In June 1970 mr AJ van Staden, Father of Adam & Johan van Staden, established AJ VAN STADEN ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION (PTY) Ltd. After selling the workshop in Vanderbijlpark NW7 and moving to Lindequesdrif, the name of the company changed to AJR Steel Fabrications in 2000 to make provision for the Van Staden sons to join the business.
Under his father’s guidance, Adam Jnr worked on construction projects during school holidays, where he developed his taste for steel. Adam studied Civil Engineering at Vaal University of Technology (VUT) and in 2009 became an Executive Partner to AJR Steel Fabrications. In 2015 Mr AJ van Staden Snr retired, and Adam Jnr stepped into the role of Director.
In 2016 Johan van Staden, the youngest son of Mr AJ van Staden Snr, joined the company. Johan takes on the role of Site Manager, qualified electrician and irreplaceable right-hand man to AJR Steel Fabrications.

- Ensuring that workers are aware of hazards involved in each task, through the use of safety talks, toolbox talks and thorough risk assessments
- Providing personal protective equipment as needed at each plant
- Providing only equipment that is in excellent condition
- Taking responsibility for incidents and accidents and ensuring that the necessary investigations take place to prevent re-occurrence.
